The Ballet School uniform

The Ballet School uniform is obligatory for all children 4 years and over, although the various tutus that we are confronted with are rather lovely it would be much appreciated if these could be donned for private performances at home or for workshops etc only!

The uniform can be obtained from
Sugarplum Dancewear:

Email info@sugarplumdancewear.co.uk
Web: www.sugarplumdancewear.co.uk

Pupils in Grade 1 and above will also need a character skirt and character shoes. Both are available from Sugarplum Dancewear (see above for contact details). Please quote The Ballet School when ordering your skirt as each school has a different ribbon combination!

How to do a ballet bun

  1. Pull the hair back into a neat pony-tail making sure the elastic is quite tight
  2. Twist the hair and coil around the elastic to form a ‘bun’ shape
  3. Put the net over the hair and shape the bun so it is neat, round and quite flat against the head
  4. Place several U-shaped hair pins around the bun to secure it (ensuring that the pins lie flat against the head)
    …et voila!
