Uniform
The Ballet School uniform is obligatory for all children 4 years and over, although the various tutus that we are confronted with are rather lovely it would be much appreciated if these could be donned for private performances at home or for workshops etc only!
The entire uniform (bar the character skirts and sweatshirts) can be obtained from the Royal Academy of Dance (0207 3268080) or Freed of London (0207 2400432) and is listed below. New!!!
The Ballet School Notting Hill blue hooded sweatshirt is now available for purchase - please ring 07904 833984 to place your order.
No jewellery or watches are to be worn and hair should be securely fastened.
How to do a ballet bun
- Pull the hair back into a neat pony-tail making sure the elastic is quite tight
- Twist the hair and coil around the elastic to form a ‘bun’ shape
- Put the net over the hair and shape the bun so it is neat, round and quite flat against the head
- Place several U-shaped hair pins around the bun to secure it (ensuring that the pins lie flat against the head)
…et voila!
