‘Coppelia’ Workshop

November 13th, 2014

During the summer break we ran a three day ‘Coppelia’ workshop in our Notting Hill and Wandsworth venues. Each morning comprised of a ballet class followed by an arts and crafts session and an hour of repertoire. On the final day parents were invited to watch the children perform an excerpt of this very popular ballet using props/costumes they had created during the course of the week. All thirty children had the most marvellous time – a huge thank you to Miss Denise, Miss Sarah and Miss Sophie for all the hard work they put into making it so fabulous!

November 13th, 2014

We are completely thrilled with the new barres and mirrors that we have recently installed at our St Mary’s of the Angels venue in Notting Hill. With freshly painted walls and newly sanded floors to boot the whole place is looking very smart indeed!

‘Alice in Wonderland’ Half-Term Workshop

November 3rd, 2014

Based on the ballet ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (which opens at The Royal Opera House later this month) our half-term workshop was an opportunity for twenty of our Reception, Pre-Primary and Primary level pupils to learn and rehearse an adapted (!) version of ‘Alice’, create their own props and costumes and take part in a short performance. White rabbits, naughty knaves, wicked red queens, mad hatters and sleepy dormice were the order of the day – the children loved every minute and Miss Sophie was delighted by their focus and enthusiasm over the three day period.
